Renowned for creating innovative lifelong learning programs with a national standard of excellence, UCLA Extension has been serving adult and young learners throughout Southern California since 1917. Each year, its 4,500 courses, conference, and unique educational programs link 60,000 students of diverse backgrounds to enhanced career, academic, and personal growth opportunities through lifelong learning.
In keeping with our mission of public service, UCLA Extension also provides public outreach to groups typically underserved by traditional education programs. Its longstanding goal is to connect new generations of adult learners to the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to transform their futures.
